When's the scheduled maintenance for a 96-98 cobra?

im wanting to buy this 96 cobra with 103,000 miles, but the car is in just about perfect condition. He says hes done a lot of maintenance in the last year. But what about timing chains and what not? Whats the mileage that timing chains should be changed, if they have to be changed?

Youll be fine. Guides are what you have to worry about. But even at 100k. Id still say as long as it was taken care of an oil changed when supposed to...itll last another 100k easy.

yeah the car, in my opinion is in just near perfect condition. The owner says its a weekender right now, paint is in EXCELLENT condition. All oil changed at 3000 miles. It has fresh spark plugs and all that. He checked the seals and those are all good, and the car is kept in a climate controlled garage. The engine bay is super clean. Brand new brake rotors and pads are in great shape.

They don't 'go out' per say. More like wear out. Once the oil loses its lubricating properties is when the damage starts. If its taken care of...they will last a very very long time. My 02 Expedition has 203,000 miles on it and is still going strong. My 04 F150, 140k. Still running like a champ.
