What 4v heads are these?

Thinking of buying a built shortblock with some 4v heads come tax time for my build. The guy sent me this pic of the heads.

Are they B or C heads?

I wanna say C heads because of the checkered pattern, but I can't remember correctly. Nevermind that. What do the exhaust ports look like?

Are they small oval like? These are B heads.

Or larger rectangular like? These are C heads.

Looks like B heads, based on the square look of the intake side. Just to throw it out there, pre 03 C heads also have the smaller exhaust port

They appear to be "B" heads, but ask for another pic.

This is a pic of a "B" head, shot at a similar angle. You can see the similarities:

They do look like "B" heads, but why can't the seller tell you which heads they are? Or at least provide a pic of the intake ports?

I am serious, exhaust port pretty much stays the same up til 03, here is a set of 99 C heads.

How you can tell its B heads is because you can see the intake side, its all square, because it has a runner for each valve and you can kind of see that in the picture. The intake part of C heads is cut out around each intake port.

Get a pic of the intakes, compare to the guide on this link:
Ford modular SOHC & DOHC tech & specifications

All of the exhaust ports are similar, the big difference is the intake. B-heads have twin ports, C-heads have big ovals.

My bet is on B heads, because it looks like the intake runners are almost all together, whereas with the C single ports you can see the individual runners.
