Help please
Hi there i have a 98 cobra when i got home turned the key off and it will not start no fuel pump or fire i checked the pump and it is good i changed the ccrm and nothing the fuse was blown for the ccrm i changed it and it blow agin i changed it one more time and nothin ti didnt blow but still no fuel or fire thanks for any help u can give me the car is heavily modded

Can you list what you have done to the car? I see 5.4 Cobra so Im assuming 4v 5.4. What heads? What intake? Fuel? Are you running anything stand alone? Have you checked for a crushed power to your fuel driver? Any recent damage?
Please list more information about your car and the parts/ modifications done. |

Kinda sounds like a short and something has gone bad in the wiring somewhere.

Happened to me, Im from CO and got stranded in CT...
Problem? FUEL PUMP Happened just like this- then the PATS went to hell. |

navi motor with 98 cobra cams, bbk longtubes ,and h pype, with side exit exaust, richardracing adaptor plates eaton m112 stage 3 zoom clutch and a t65 tranny i got 11/2 k fram spacer plates that sits it down far enof the factory hood fits with clearince 30 plb injectors lightning mas and a sct tuner and it ran great till i turned it off thats when my troubles begain. and its got solid motor mounts

So is it still run by the factory fuel driver and ECM? Hmmmm..... What pump(s?) are you running for fuel?
Sounds like a hell of a setup! Any PATS problems? You are getting fuel pressure to the rails? Do you have a FP Gauge? |

I'd start by tracing the circuit the multiple blown fuses were on. There's obviously a short there.

If he is running a higher draw fuel pump or the like though, he could trace the wires all day long *PITA* and wouldn't find the problem. Im thinking something is drawing way too much on the stock setup.

He may be, but from what I gathered from the info he gave us is that the car ran fine for quite some time before suddenly blowing multiple fuses on the same circuit.

Very true. However I really think its the fuel pump driver in the fender or the pump or pump wiring. The same thing happened to my car. Exact same. Drove to work fine, shut it off, and went to restart and nothing-
Replaced the blown fuse, and upon further investigation the harness that the pump was on actually shorted from the controller (loose connection caused resistance) |

Ah! Have an OM meter? Start at the pigtail that plugs onto the tank, what does it say?
