loud... awesome for a cobra. what about midpipe? catted, offroad, stock? there is a huge difference in sound when changing out midpipes and cats.

She has a catted x-pipe on her. I think it might be gutted though. I was going to check when I pulled the tranny out but forgot.

dynomax's sound sick on mustangs. i love the sound they make. there great products. i had superturbos on my 86 camaro and they were sweet. they were big back in the day for camaros. exp. 3rd gens. then i heard it on a 01 GT at a car show and it was like music to my ears.but they were bullets. friggen mean sound. i was going to get them for my 00 GT with my bassani X pipe with cats and my headers i sold acer2428 but i totaled it before i could get them. but they were bullets. what kind of dynomax's are you getting? your dint say.

i had turn downs on my 86 GT with O/R H pipe and flows and i liked it better with the tails on. IMO it sounds better with tail pipes.

Well I got the mufflers installed with the turndowns and am very pleased with how she sounds. When I picked the car up and drove her for a couple days, she was pretty quiet. I think the mufflers broke in i guess and she did get a tad bit louder.

There are actually a couple reasons why I went with turn downs. The main reason was that I like the look of the car without the tips sticking out the back. The other reason was that I would have to run 1 3/4"(or smaller) pipe going from the mufflers out the back. Because of the suspension modifications, 2 1/2" pipe won't fit.

Does anybody here have a digital audio recorder? I wouldn't mind dubbing the exhaust sound and putting it up on the site.

Bossman. Believe it or not, it's pretty quiet inside the car. You can have a normal level conversation while driving down the road. It's a different story when the windows are down though.
