To rebuild?

My 2003 Mach with 16,000 weekend miles overheated. The internals sounded like marbles. After the car cooled down the problem was fixed and the marble (detonated) sound diminished. I've been reading that any overheating to the engine means DAMAGE to the engine. I'm concerned months or years later this can come back to cost me $$$$.

Question: Since I have a EXTENDED PROTECTION WARRANTY should I have the engine rebuilt, and how do I convince the Service writer at the Ford Dealership to do it if he feels it doesn't need it?????

Thanks alll

So are you saying that you are hearing marble sounds from your engine? If so that wont get any better. Bring it into the dealer and have them fix it. They have to honor that warranty.

Ya "warranty good luck there the "Stealer" will where you out on labor and un needed parts. take it to a honest mec and have him evalulate the problem than take it to another mec and the same. Than if you choose that it to the "Stealer"
