You can't edit a post after a certain amount of time. It can only be changed now by a moderator. Same thing goes with the extra 2 "save" posts you made. After I think 5 minutes you won't be able to add/delete/change anything in those posts.

this all-aluminium engine features the same high flow heads as the 2003-04 SVT Cobras, Australian Boss 260/290, Lincoln Aviator and Mercury Marauders, but has intake cams drawn from Ford's 5.4 Liter "Triton" V-8 to provide better low end torque.

helps?

there are a few changes i would like to make to it, but i dont want too big of a tech thread because 1. people probably wont even read it before asking questions, and 2. it will take up alot of room.

Found this on SVTP. Nazman wrote this about the 99+ intake manifolds and how they are different. Fixed vs. Non-Fixed vs. 03-Up 4v Intakes - SVTPerformance

Honestly, this is happening the same way it did for me on other boards. A bunch of people protested, and disagree'd... posting a bunch of different specs that they thought were the correct specs. It ended with an SVT tech proving us all wrong. Feel free to post specs, but if you claim there not the same as the cobra... i'll have to disagree.

When modded with bolt-ons, all of the NA 4V engines have suprised me. I've had several mach's make over 300rwhp with stock headers, a few have touched 310rwhp. I've even had an old 98 cobra make 298RWHP with LTs, O/R H, CAI, and dynotune. A friends 99 Cobra made 290rwhp with UD pulleys, stock intake, O/R H, and dynotune.

The Mach1/03-04 Cobra's have the same heads and cams. Trust me on this.

To add: a CAI on a Mach will make the shaker hood nonfunctional whereas a RamAI will keep it functional. As a side note, many have also said that there is a problem with the oil pump breaking due to UDPs. I personally had them put on because I had some people tell me that they have driven around with them for a long time and had no problems. Still, I want to put that out there.

I've read that too about the UDPs causing oil pump failure. It's got to do with the amount of vibrations that get through with a smaller balancer pulley. Some say this will cause the already weak pump gears to break at high RPM's. Of course, high RPM's is the last place anyone would want an oil pump failure!

maybe thats why my friend told me to only get dampened UDP's because they are perfectly balanced and made to reduce vibration. i dont know much about it thats just something i heard.

also nice write up, should have known you would have an arguement going.

ive never heard the machs having the same cam as a 03/04. maybe we should all just agree to disagree

what is a ballpark rwhp estimate for a 99/01 cobra and a mach 1? <--that would be nice to add in there since many people say the machs are underrated. (isnt a 99-04 gt around 225 rwhp?)
