Need Drag Wheels !

ok i got a 97 cobra SRA. with cobra brakes what is every one running like
15x10s in rear? on 6.5 backspace?
for fronts i dont want 3 inch rims at leat 5s or 6s.

will this clear the brakes ft. and rear ?

i think i need spacers for the front ? right

the rear i dont know that offset for sure.
i'll be running 27x11.50x15s hoosier quick time in rear.
not sure if i got to run spacer in rear or get gt brake to clear , someone steer me right .

i want a set of drag wheels

on the rear you will want a 6.5" backspacing, and a 15X10. since you have the 97 housing you could go with a 6" backspacing, but 6.5 will still be fine.

for the front get 15X3.5, or 4", and you will have to use a 1.25" bolt on spacer up front to clear the cobra brakes.

if you want to spend like double the $$ of welds though, you can get bogarts in 16" with a made on spacer that will clear the front brakes, you will jsut have to install longer wheels studs.

YES I WAS SET ON THE DRAG LITES WELDS opps caps where still on i must have been mad at someone LOL.

i dont 3s ar 4s in the front . maybe 5s ,3s are to shinny cause ill be driving aorund town on them also. my other set wil be for long high use witht e pump gas tune, i fuguied i was going to spin anyhow with the nitto's plus car will be alot lighter too.

i can get a upr ft. k member with the shock/spring set up and lower control arms for 550 shipped? are 350 lb springs on the front enough.
my 82 has 175s i think ?

get 3.5's in the front, and run a 4, or 5" tire. a 5" rim you'll have to run a 7" or so tire on, and will add even more weight, biggest thing about big n littles is the weight reduction. they drive fine around town too, jsut dont do a mario andretti around a turn.

look into pics of draglites on these cars, they really dont look good. the prostarts look great though.

i think the $550 deal on the UPR K member is up, i think its back to $700 now.

the upr k meme on svt is sold i waited to long , im trying to drop some weight , i already lost 160 lbs withthe SRA swap i weight everything on it , and went on it , came to be 160 lbs saving , i think another 75 is with the ft. m kmemeber right > with out using the big heavt stock springs right ? . ill be adding some with the 6 pt bar too.

i got weld on my 83 look good rear trims ans tires wiegh 35 lbs i like compard to my 75 lbs.ers.

im thinking of the k memeber rally witht eh welds. the pro stars look ok? you can see more of the rotors and brakes ..right ?

i want to run some 10.0s with my vert?> is that possible im going to be fabing my up a 5 gal ice box for my inter cooler i need to put a temp gauge on the output side of my inter coller to see what the temps are? is that a good idea? to record them b4 , that do the 5 gal ice box with my same set up to see the temp drop in how fast it rise's or do you thinkn a 12 gal in the trunk would be better ,,thats a lot of heater hose x2.i did fins some extra pumps i got some off some mercedes i work one it the same size , it for moving more water though the heater core at idle i could run 2 of tham on a seprate switched circut. it has 5/8 fittings .it only draws 1 amp per pump.or i could go 5 gal and mt inside of car. what you think?

3.5 inch Skinnies upfront are fun to drive on the streets. And get a 6.5 back spacing in the rear with a 1.25 inch spacer upfront.

KC is right. Dont put draglites on your cobra. They really dont flow with the new edges all that good. Get yourself some prostars or telestars and be done with it. They look fucking sweet.

I just want to say this thread is awesome as I was in the same market for my 1996 Cobra. I want 15" Weld Prostars, but didn't know the sizing or backspacing.

Would all those measurements be the same on a 1996? Will a 10" even fit back there with the shocks, etc? I think the 99-04 can house a bigger wheel for some reason.
