VT engines is closed?


Well I have recently started looking for a builder for a new short block for my Mach... I am looking closely at MMR but I always like to look at all the options out there... That's when I typed in VT engines, and the web site was closed....

Welcome To VT Engines!

Any one know why? I thought they had a decent rep and good customer base? Am I wrong?

and while were at it, who do you all think would be the best builder for a forged short block. I'm wanting just a solid rotating assembly, but if I have to buy the whole short block to get the best builder then that's not a huge issue.

they started going downhill fast, guess they finally got to the bottom.

some people like them, but ive heard horror stories about them aswell, and one of my customers had a problem with a engine that was shipped to use. .030 over block, 7 .030 over pistons, and 1 stock bore piston...

not to mention there has been alot of engine failures. MMR seems to be one the the best, and most reasonably priced. plus teh MMR 950 is on sale right now.

So is the 351R cast iron block!

I think I may go with that 950 that's on sale... I'll find out soon enough. Gotta find a good shop to install, and talk with whoever is going to build it to learn all my options with it.

Just noticed that it's the 905 STROKER that's on sale... I don't really want to do a stroker right now. The "normal" 900 is cheaper and still strong enough for me...

do the stroker dude, especially if you go NA, you have alot of torque loss NA, and the stroker is one of the few things that will help get it back up.

the stroker is well worth it.

I was thinking more along the lines of a Procharger... I've done nitrous and loved it, now I want to try something else... And a Procharger seems like it's what I want.

could always to a 03/04 blower conversion, and nobody would ever see that blower under the shaker. combine that with a KB, or whipple, and the MMR 950, and you have a stout car that looks and drives like stock.

i just dont like the way centri's come on. make great power, but i dont like the power band.

No sense in doing a conversion when I already have a perfectly good flowing intake now.

Wich is better for lots of racing, street or strip, but mostly strip. I know the roots get bad heat soak, or is that just for the stockers?
