gears
Buddy of mine showed up today with his 03 Cobra. Putting down around 450 rwhp - thinking of going with 3.73's. Anyone tried this? I know another guy with 4.10's and he killed his times due to no traction.

No Point In Changing Those 3.55 For 3.73 . . . . . . . Make The Lighter Or Give It More Power

Thats what I said. Its hard enough to get it to hook with the .55's. He will have a KB by spring. One of those lucky ones with more money than he knows what to do with.

Gears have nothing to do with traction. Crappy tires, or poor driving surface (which is 99% of public roads) is what promotes poor traction. Dont stray away from shorter gears because of poor traction... just get a better (or larger) set of tires. The gears will imporve the cars performance on the track.. where it counts.

And I have never been to a track...I think there are alot of people who also never plan on going to a track. I think there are more pratical mods then swapping 3.55's for 3.73's

Absolutely, it really depends on what your plans for the car is.

twin screws, and roots blowers jsut love the factory 3.55's. probably not even 1% of people with termi's change the gears.
