It's not a valve problem. In the early run of the 03's ford didn't have a water tube running from the block to the head on the left side like they did on the right. Ford just left the water jackets pluged. In mid 03 ford fixed the problem. And started putting cooling tubes on both sides. Its called HEAT TICK. And if you find one that is under warranty and it has the ticking on the left side ford will replace it at no cost. As they did with me. So if you find a good deal on a 03 and there is no ticking on the left side, you can but the tube from ford for the cooling mod,pop out the jacket caps install and you will be good to go. Good luck.

I love em both. But for me (and this is my build plan) its a built, high compression, cammed up, heavy breathing, child scaring, window rattling, fire breathing, Torch Red, 1/4 mile screaming, N/A, Mach 1

But all in all just a nice daily driver.

i agree. i really like the chin spoilers on the front bottoms of the machs. when people put em on the gt's, the gt looks so much better from the front.

i think "dyno queen" is associated with mildly and heavily modded cobras that still have IRS. cuz power can be put down better with a solid rear in most cases, from what i hear.

If its under warranty still they will. If it isn't you can do the cooling mod yourself.

The LDC Chicago cooling mod? Its 2 fittings, 1 for each head, it connects the water passages of the heads together so coolant flows threw heads ALOT better. If you have an un fixed 03 termi its a must have.

Your heads will continue to run hot in I think the #7 and #8 cylinders and eventually get in the way of any agressive timing/boost because of detonation. It's the same problem for Mach's...

i love the way mach 1s and 03 cobras look, and if you want big power fast a 03 cobra will suit you just fine, not to mention the internals are built like all hell and it has a six speed, id pick a 03/04 cobra over a mach, but machs are amazingly nice and very fast for having a N/A 4.6, machs do have solid axle which i like alot more and sure you can build an IRS, mach 1s are badass cars you cant loose either way
