yeah solid rears are most likely the best all around. they can be setup to handle really good too. IRS can be setup to launch really good but i heard it takes a good bit more money to prep IRS for hard launching compared to a solid.

have any idea how much one of those revised heads would cost me?

i would buy both of them, and have them ported too.

does your car have the head tick? theres no reason to replace it even if you do have the tick, it has never caused any sort of failure, just a annoyance.

does it have the tick, or just valvetrain noise, 4V's have LOTS of valvetrain noise, i always run oil to max ont he dipstick to help quiet it down some.

but yes, there has never been a failure from head ticks on these cars.

You can also try to reduce valve train noise with lucas heavy duty oil additive.

I love my '04 Mach very much, but given the opportunity I would get rid of it for a Terminator in a heartbeat. The Cobra is a sexy car hands down. You don't to many guys with Cobras cloning Mach's do you? No but I have seen quite a few mach's with Cobra bumper covers and spoilers. Which in my opinion they should've done from the factoy. I hate the hideous front bumper of my Mach. As soon as it's warm out it's going to the body shop for an '01 Cobra front bumper cover.
