I've had my 01 since nov 06, and it's a blast to drive. Of course, being a cobra, it'll never be stock. Just remember that you're gonna pay for improvement. An 01 is gonna cost more than a 99, a 03 is gonna cost more than a 01. That's the way it goes. These are definately cars that like to be modded. My opinion is first and foremost, throw the stock gears in the garbage and go at least 4.10, if not 4.30 if you're gonna stay NA. If you plan on boosting later, go 3.73. Good luck with your decision.

I think gears are over rated.

I'd still say go for an 03 04 You can find them in the low 20's if Your patient
