different brands do sound different. People say they don't but listen to a clip with a car that has a dr gas x pipe compared to a bassani or magnaflow with the same mufflers. Sound is different. Its argumentative thu

i know x pipes sound different.. he was like " explain to me how 2.5 inch pipe formed into an x is different than another 2.5 inch pipe formed into an x.. and i said i do not know i have no supporting evidence other than the fact that when its on the car u can hear a difference between x pipes. ALTHOUGH alot of them sound the same there are about 30% of them that each have unique sounds. i.e. bassani versus pypes or bassani vs upr/vrs. there are so many variables

They are all "formed" into different x shapes, thats why they are different. Thats why the magnaflow tru-x gets so many props is because it is infact a true x shape. Most of the others are notched then welded together. The dr gas is a true x as well. These tend to be the loudest.

Magnaflow tru x

Here is the dr gas compared to the "notched" style x pipes like Pypes, mac,and some of the others.

hahah a guy on hpt didnt take up for me but proved my point very well.

"not taking up for anyone ,but different x pipes sound differnt . i have had 3 or more different exhaust systems on my car ,with the same mufflers and they all sounded different . i had the upr x pipe ,changed it because it didnt fit well ,and rubbed the underbody of the car and made a vibration, went with the dr. gas . sounded totaly different . changed it because i went with a tremec transmission and the x was in the front and was hitting the bottom of the tranny . went with a bassani sounded different ,because it is more of a x chamber . and recently changed to bbk full length headers and matching bbk x pipe . that made the biggest change in the way it sounded but that one is obvious. but point is different x pipes sound different ."

i know your reading this tony so i say " open mouth insert foot? bi t ch"
