99 Supercharged GT or 01 Cobra?

Okay,

I have narrowed it down to these too.

Should I get a gt and supercharge it or just get a 01 cobra? Right now I'm thinking the cobra, what do you think?

The 4V motor in the Cobra is a much better platform to build off of than the 2V in the GT.

a S/c GT will be faster than an N/A Cobra for sure..
but the Cobra will be better for mods in the long run

The Cobra is a better car. I would get the 4v. It will keep it's value a little better also.

I think I'm gonna have to get a GT because I can't find a 01 cobra anywhere right now that isn't asking for an insane amount of $$. Plus I would have to spend at least 1K to ship it to me.

Or you could just wait a while for one to show up. If you get a GT or a Cobra your power is still going to be limited. You won't want to pass 450rwhp unless you are also wanting to buy a new motor in the future too. If you aren't going to forge the crank, pistons, and heads then get the GT it is cheaper and will be faster. But if you are going to pour more money into it in the future get the Cobra.

Thanks for the info. I'm not gonna try to get over 450rwhp (maybe 400rwhp top). I think I'm gonna go with the gt because I'm not gonna forge anything.

really depends on your goals... the s/c GT is probly a better way to go, but there are arguments for both.. and in the end it wont matter much if you do alot of modding

I would get the cobra. I was in the same situation, and decided to go with my mach. 4V is a way better platform to work off of and will hold its value a little better in the long run.

yea i say go with the cobra, but i guess if you just want the work already done to it and dont wanna build the engine up you can go with the s/c gt

I also say go with the Cobra. I had the oppurtunity to buy a few nice already built 2v cars, but I bought a 4v, and I don't regret it one bit. Besides, a cobra looks sexier than a GT.
