Take the shaker off (2 bolts, one on each side, I think are 10mm or close to that) and use a ruler to be sure all of the bolts that is sits on are even from front to back and right to left. If the guy before you took it off he may have loosened some of the bolts more than others for some strange reason. Like someone said earlier look for those rubber grommets on the underside of it, if one of those is missing that will most likely be the reason it's rattling. If you want it to sit higher just back the "stand" bolts out a few turns and use some lock tight to be sure they don't walk or rattle out all the way.

P.S. don't buy the shaker spacer kit. They look like trash, the corners on the spacer are squared and our shakers are rounded on the edges...

If you want to raise the shaker get one of these instead....
