Should be a direct swap. the exhaust and springs will have to be swapped too. If you got both cars fully intact then the swap will be really simple. The IRS from the cobra will bolt right into place of the '01 also with no modifications too

Done the swap yet? you are going to have to swap the pinion flanges from the two rear-ends. Its pretty straight foreword once you get started. If you want the car to handle correctly you are gonna need to upgrade the springs, shocks and brakes on the straight axle in the cobra.
I finally got my springs and shocks right. I still need to upgrade to the Mach 1 brakes (caliper brackets and rotors) to get the brake bias correct again. |

isn't the driveshaft going to be different. The driveshaft out of the gt wont match up from the trans to the IRS and the 03C driveshaft won't be the right length from the tranny to the solid axle. There is a few driveshaft difference I beileve but I could be wrong

10" open end S&B filter, SCT 2600 meter, Accufab TB/inlet, stg IV ported eaton w/harley upper and 6lb lower pulleys. Bassani catted x w/Borla stinger catback. Built solid rear w/3.90 gear, full UPR front and rear suspension. Fluidyne H/E and reservoir and LDC cooling mod. Alot of weight reduction, the car weighs 3275 with my fat ass in it. It has some left in it too. I believe it'll run 10.20's in the right conditions. There are some vids of the record runs over on svtperformance and modularfords websites if you're interested.

Interior doesn't look gutted at all. I custom made a rear seat delete out of .063 aluminum and covered it in grey carpet. It has Corbeau Forza II race seats and airbag delete kit from UPR. Isotta steering wheel to replace the factory one. It still has power everything(except seats of course) including the mach 460. Rest of the weight reduction came from removing the insulation under the carpet, spare/jack, brackets behind the rear wheel/tire in the quarters, irs to sra swap, removed dogbone under rear differential, tubular suspension, removed front swaybar, aluminum block, removed front bumper and made an aluminum H/E mount, lightweight battery(only 11lbs) and Bogarts. Believe me it still looks like a full car, most people don't notice any of it. PM me for anymore details so we quit hijacking this thread, lol.

I think they both look great. If I had the dough, I'd have one of each. I do love the cobra front end on a Mach though. I think it's the best of both.
