Well we got it all buttoned up monday afternoon and took it out for a test drive. About 2 miles down the road it started making a funny knock so we brought it back. Drove it home that nite and it didn't wanna stay running and the noise got worse. Me a sweet2k started looking it over today and found smoke coming from both PCV's and what can only be a wasted motor. The noise is undoubtedly a rod knocking from wasted rod bearing or 2. don't know what the hell caused it, I run royal purple so the synthetic should keep it lubed up and protected. We have a couple ideas of what did it just not exactly shure. Maybe when the auto locked it, it caused so much vibration and such a big jerk that it messed up the oil pump or even messed up the bearings. We will know more when we tear it down. Having said that, I guess the final stage of Project N/A 4v is beginning a little sooner than hoped but what can you do? I will keep you guys updated on the build and post up videos and pics as we go along. This is gonna happen quickly as I miss my car and I am ready to hit the streets with it.

see that's what sucks.. you'll have a nice mod list planned out with big goals, and you'll even have the money saved up for everything, then your car decides to be a douche and throws a curveball like this at you.

good luck man, hope you get it all worked out.

No the automatic Mach 1's have the same bottom end as the 2v's just with higher compression pistons.

Yea it seems too. Only drove it a couple miles so I don't know excatly. I did find out that you have to find a stock shifter for a 3650 (which I don't have) to get the snap on pivot bushing off the the shifter ball. Ford doesn't sell it by its self and it is different than the pivot cup thats used in the t-45. So I gotta get that.

That would be great. I can't find a local salvage yard with a 3650 car.
