i take it back today. i took it at 230 miles and it was showing max oil still.

im at 590 miles now and it goes back today. i checked it last night and its showing 3/4 of the way up the stick. but i think my car might have been on a slant so im going to check it when i get to a flat spot at work this morning. hopefully its down some oil so i can get this thing tore apart and fixed for free while the chance is still there!

okay.. took it back today. since the dealer changed the oil ive put 650 miles on the car. and its still on max oil!!

wtf... and its still smoking at start ups, and WOT.

im clueless now. they said even if my warranty runs out if it shows its burning oil they will cover it. but its not been burning so he said just keep checking it .. and see what it does.

stupid piece of shit car! ta hell with it. im still saving for the supercharger and when the day comes it will either blow the hell up or put down some nice numbers

bc it dont smoke on every start up. usually only does it when its sat over night or something like that. and NOW it doesnt smoke that much on WOT.

im going to do some datalog revs and then datalog driving down the road hitting WOT and send to my tuner guy and see if there is anything that might be off causing this stuff.

besides the dealer dont care that it smokes. they wont pay to tear it apart if its smoking and not using any oil.. thats the whole issue. the warranty covers stuff thats wrong internally. like seals and gaskets. but if its not leaking any coolant or oil.. nothing can be fixed.

The clear option here is to make a really long straw and somehow fit that straw straight through the valve cover and magically make it appear at the bottom of the oil pan. From here we use everyone's favorite gas saving technique, one we learn from cleaning fish tanks: How to syphon liquids.

Just suck real hard and spit in a bucket for a couple hours until you get 16oz or so. Ta-da!

lmao.. i can see you connecting mcdonalds straws and shovin them in there and choking on oil, throwing up on your valve covers.. hahaahahaha

im just gona let it go.. for real.. i mean im not going to ' cheat ' either its burning oil or its not.. there aint no sense in tearing it down if its not burning oil anymore.. and honestly i dont ever see the blue smoke ne more.. all i see is what looks like condensation every time i cold start. and the smoke never smells like oil like it did before it smells like just exhaust fumes.. idk..

I took my car to the track, she definitely smokes white like it's Seafoam.

When I do my burnout I'm usually at 6,000 (I have no self-control apparently) and that usually kicks the smoke out and the inevitable black cloud. After that I rev the motor a couple times and that solves the problem until the next run.

Also look at it this way, if the motor ever fails (it won't from smoking unless it's a real bad problem but it is common for them to smoke especially the 03/04 Cobra) then you have a reason to upgrade.

car smokes at start up need help - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

It's a normal thing for the DOHC motors....

Mine does it and it's nothing to worry about. Just keep her full of oil and move on. Some seem to think an oil seperator will help out. Might be worth a try for only $50.
