In a 1996 Cobra Steeda Autosports supplies speedo gears for our mechanical setups. I think it's about $15, maybe $20 by the time they drag you through the coals for shipping.

You don't need a programmer and I don't even think a programmer can fix our mechanical speedos, as Ford changed over to electrical in 99. For a 99 you could get a speed cal, or better yet a handheld tuner for the price difference.

I think we're 7-tooth white speedometer gear for a 4.10. There's a sticky or thread around here somewhere that addresses this. I'm almost 99% sure that you want the 7 tooth 4.10 white gear though.

American muscle.com sells the speedo correcter for 90. But if you want one anyone you can buy a tuner and tell them you have 4.10s and when you plug it in it will fix it for ya. It'll give ya reason to bit a tuner to lol. If you already have a tuner you can get a new tune and fix it

The mechanic who did my rear end did it for me.

I honestly have no idea, I've never done it. A blind guess is probably 30 minutes tops if you're using your teeth and chopsticks to do it.
