01 cobra help asap

try completely taking the terminals off the battery for a while..charge it or text it and put it back on..i dont think its inside the engine...

So as I said, you need to try a different battery. Or load test his battery & alternator to eliminate that problem. Until you get past that hurdle, or get up under the car and attempt to turn the engine over by hand, you're kind of at an impasse.

You might also want to check all the connections at the starter. Perhaps one of the wires came loose or corroded off, or is corroded just enough to keep it from turning over.

...i know this may sound stupid, but have you tried the inertia switch? I mean what if something just triggered the switch? I mean no fuel equal no combustion and maybe that crank right after the incident burnt the last little bit of fuel left in the lines before the cutoff set in...

not yet. we had the battery tested and they said it was fine. but were fixing to take the battery out of my car and try it. and then tap on the starter.

Just a simple question. In the 03 Cobra iif revs go past 7000 the fuel cuts off. Does the 01 have something similar. Just wondering for my own knowledge. I know there is a switch to throw in my cars. Will be interested to find out the verdict to this incident.

what does the needle on the tach do when you try and start it? check to see if it jumps or act weird...

its locked up. we took all of the spark plugs out and tried to turn the motor with no luck.

bad ground is possible..i would check that, check the plugs could be getting no spark, a bad tps might and i said "might" as in not sure could cause the problem

So my initial thought was correct. Sorry to hear that man. I guess it's a matter of tearing it apart now. How does the oil look?

Oil is fine. Everything else is fine. Now we just gotta tear it apart and find out where the damage is at.
