Stalling Out

I just picked up my 04 Mach 1 and it has a tendancy to stall out when your driving and push the clutch in. It does it at least once a day. I'll be driving and I'll come up to a light or something and push the clutch in and she'll just die. Start right back up and be fine. WTF is going on?!?!?! Any idea's?
It's only got 15K on the clock and mods are some stupid chip and gears. Would the tune cause it to do this??

the tune or chip could be messing with it when your Rpms drop when the clutch is put in. I would suggest getting rid of the crude chip or tune either way besides that make sure the clutch isn't having problems engaging and disengaging Mach 1s don't usalky have problems so early just buy a sct chip or tuner and get rid of the beat chip. That's all I cab really say.

my 03 cobra did that exact thing and we basically adjusted the tune and more importantly raised its idle. These adjustments had to me made when the accu fab 65mm throttle bottle was added. Your throttle bottle and or plenum may not be stock and need adjustment. If you break fast and the idle drops really fast it shuts off everytime. It sucks but is an easy fix. be careful till its takin care off.

Well, I had the mufflers cut off and dumps put on and it hasn't done it since. I'm guessing it had to do something with the exhaust. I am getting the tune removed IMMEDIATLEY. Any local HR guys know of any shops that will do it?? I went to Kimnach to have the PCM reset and it didnt do anything. Would DTP be able to help me out??

My 96 used to stall out too when I first bought it. She would stall out at a stop light once in a while but it went away after a couple days. Then a few weeks later at the track (it was a short shutdown area) I had to smash the brakes and the clutch and the car stalled. It's never done it since.

Besides the mentioned answers above of lose that tune I would say don't worry about it. It probably won't happen again.

get you a diablo or sct.
weems is right. Just call around and see what tuners are in your area and who tunes with what. In the Chicagoland area there are way too many tuners so both are safe bets, but you're in Virginia. See the closest shop, talk to them on the phone, and try another shop. Make a choice and go with that tuner. Both are good, most people go with SCT or so it seems.

That's a known problem with Mach's. It's addressed on the registry too. It's got to do with the MAF not letting in or reading enough air after the clutch is pushed in, I can't remember the exact explanation but it's somethig like that. It can be fixed through the computer with the some tuning.

if it has a chip you have to remove it before you can flash the computer , thats why they couldnt flash it, the chip overrides anything in the computer , take the pcm out and remove the chip , then make sure the computer still has the original tune in it once you hook your Sniper interface to it ....
