Mach motor in 01 Cobra

As you guys know my motor locked up... well i've been debating on whether or not to put a Termi motor in...well my dad is good friends with the shop manager atAlan Vigil Ford ( certified SVT Dealer) and im thinking about letting them put my new motor in...if i buy it from them it will come with a warranty... SO... since the termi swap would be a little difficult i was thinking of putting a Mach 1 motor in... since they are basically the same motor it will be just like putting an 01 Cobra motor in... My question is, should i put the Mach motor in or go back with an 01 Cobra motor... i know the Mach has a Forged Crank, higher compression, and i think a little bit better heads... Give me some feedback!!!
Remember: Both motors will be crate motors

If they are the same price, definitely get the Mach motor. Question, why not rebuild your existing one?

Get the MACH motor bro...

Make sure its from a 5-Speed so it has the forged crank...

Keep your stock engine and you could easily make a pretty penny off of it or build it yourself...

Weems has kept me in the loop on this one...

I went through the same thing...

De-Mod it before any sets eyes on it though...

it just seems like to much trouble and time rebuilding my motor... If i can get a crate motor from ford with a warranty it will make me feel alot better than buying a used motor...then i can part my old motor out and make some of my money back... if i do put the mach motor in will they have to reflash my ECU because of the compression difference?... i do have it dyno tuned if that makes a difference...

I would say that you will need a new tune...

If you have the option you should rebuild your own internals...Would make a great stroker...

If its a long block with heads and all, then hands down get the Mach motor. Better heads. Like chris said though make sure its an 8 bolt forged crank motor. I would get it retuned just to optimize everthing but for the most part its gonna be pretty close. Let me know when you start parting out the cobra motor I am interested in some parts from it.
