Royal purple lubricants are about the best you can get. they won't harm anything, if anything they will make it better. It has great lubricating properties and racers wouldn't use it if it sucked. I would the autozone kid is a dip shit.

Just make sure you let it set for a few minutes and it needs to be at running temp when you put it in.

well were doing plugs, fuel filter, and a few other things but hes already done the entire cooling system, oil, serp belt replacement, and stuff like that.

will keep it in mind though doc thanks for the help

also do you think putting RP in a car 140k would actualyl do damage. ghe doesnt know if the people have put great oils in there or not and Ive heard that switching from a dirt oil to a full synth may hurt it... these rumors true?

I realy think he is full of shit now, No such thing as a 59 nova,66 camaro SS or a 78 chevelle. None of these cars exist. And the only way it hurts the older high mileage cars is if the wrong weight oil is used. I wouldn't change over a car with 140k miles on it. I don't beileve it would hurt but thats just one of the little things I don't do. Kinda like changing the tranny fluid if it hasn't been changed in like 200k miles.

when people say that the synthetic oil hurts their cars they usually mean leaking right? and it may leak because the synthetic gets into places that the convention oil may not? thus, causing leaking from places that you did not leak from previously? am i making sense??

- 1,000,000 there is no such thing as a 78 Chevelle they were discontinued after 1972. Camaros weren't introduced until 1967, and Novas weren't called Novas, until 1968, I'm not 100% sure on the Novas they might been called Novas in 1962, but like I said I'm not 100% sure. They replaced the Chevy II.

Synthetic oil burns quicker because that is what it's designed to do. It has infact been proven to lubricate better. That is a fact like Doc previously mentioned earlier. Tell your buddy that if he thinks his '78 Chevelle is bad than BWAL has a 2012 TT Mustang with nawz, and they should probably race

Believe it or not I've seen it with my own eyes. Even with thoses oil additives, Slick 50, Z-Max and Pro-Long. Surprisingly the Pro-Long was just like the Royal Purple test.
