Mach 1 with no torque, WTF??

Ok, so I've been looking to trade my 07 V6 for a Mach 1. Since i'm deployed I can't drive it myself, so I had my dad test drive it. I talked to him and he said when he drove it, he didn't notice any significant torque difference than my 07. Does that sound weird to anyone else? I was expecting at least 100+rwtq gain compared to my V6. He might just be trying to convince me to keep my car, but I don't know. Any ideas?

i know it sounds fishy. It sounded like he was trying to get me to just keep my car and not waste any money. As soon as I mentioned just giving up on the Mach and looking for a Cobra, he kind of changed his tune. He said he'd get his 1SG (he's a mustang collector) down there to test drive it and get his opinion.

maybe the clutch was slipping on him. There has to be a logical explanation. Mach 1s are torqey as all hell. Maybe he said that because he loved it so much that he wants it for himself

The shifter looks ok to me. Everything looked stock on the engine too.

dude my dad's the same way, and unfortunately he's my mechanic also. so whenever i wanna get a new mod for my car he's like "nah there would be no difference" ok dad.. haha. atleast its not just me lol

I'm saying that the shifter is too tall in stock form. I reccomend an aftermarket shifter, such as MGW

Yeah when I took my stock shifter out I used it as my pimp cane for a while. Then I ditched it when, like my car, I had trouble moving on to third base.

aftermarket shifters are shorter than stock ones 101fng. i.e. short throw will look shorter than that stock one.

And it has a K&N cold air kit on it. I can see the inlet pipe in the pic.
