bout to buy a cobra

I am going to buy a cobra next week and was wondering if 99-02 had the same 4V motor as 03-04 except s/c. I hear people talking about exhaust all the time I'm gonna go with a borla and ory, and some long tube headers. Should I get headers? Thanks

First off, they didn't make a Cobra in '02
Second, LT's are definatley worth it
Third, It's not tha same motor as the '03/'04 Cobra.

they made a Cobra in 02. just not in the USA.

its the same basic motor 4.6 DOHC 32v but thats about it for the similarites of the motor, and yea only a 99 cobra and a 01, besides the cobra r in 2000

So can get up to 500rwhp in a 99-01 cobra without doing any kind of internal work (forging boring). And you said I shouldn't get a h pipe, alright so I need to get a x where can I buy one of these at? Should I keep cats I don't have emissions in florida.

first you tube the different sounding exhaust and see what you want. you can buy an x pipe alot of places online. bassani is a realy nice one. you need to figure out what you want first. look at teh brands on americanmuscle.com, and also summitracing to get an idea of some different brands and types of exhaust

Just open a 5.0 magazine or look on any performance website. Should run you $169 w/o cats.
