Is the throttle body really a choke point on that engine?

I would go with an ACCUFAB product before I would touch bbk's stuff.

The TB is not a big choke point. Don't think you need a twin 65mm or a big mouth unless you are going boost. twin 62 would be best for N/A

+1 and I would be hesitant on even buying an aftermarket throttle body as so many people have said that they have had problems with them. More have had problems with the BBK than the Accufab. If you do decide to switch TBs you won't see probably more than 2-3rwhp on a lightly modified Cobra/Mach. It's simply not worth the money and hassle unless you're going big power.

DeMello - Cobras and Machs have a different throttle body than your GT does. Learn more about these cars before you start spitting out suggestions and someone buys a $300 part only to find out it won't fit.

+1 A good P&P'd stock one will get you high single digits and going aftermarkt beyond that might get you 1-3 at the very peak

Just beef up the IRS. Everyone here says oh swap it out, but if this is your DD you can't beat IRS. Just get an IRS brace. There are plenty of suspension mods to do and if LTs are going on you might look into a new K-member to help it fit. Take the $350 you would spend on the TB and beef up the suspension or get a new K-member.

If its the single blade big oval then its a shit load bigger than 65mm. They flow like 1700cfm. they are every bit of 140+mm

I guess so , I know the 1700cfm is right but couldnt tell you different about the 140mm+, but they describe and sell it as 65mm big oval and that is what I have.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AccuFab 65mm Billet Cobra Throttle Body(1696cfm) Single Blade "Big Oval" Throttle Body Kits

Polished Oval Throttle Body -CNC Machined Throttle Body
Adds up to 25+ RWHP
Part# ACC-CTB2003T* $ 379.95

I have 480 to the rear and 512 torque. I dyno'ed a little higher than most pulled cobras and I bet because a lot of people don't switch the TB.
