I say black

And to get the paint off you will either need to sand it all off, or buy some brake fluid and pour it on the paint....the brake fluid will eat away the paint

Oh and please don't paint over the old paint...Trust me it will look horrible. Make sure you completely get all the old paint off and all brake dust off before you paint or it won't come out good/won't last long.

When i painted my calipers this is what it looked like after i sanded and got all brake dust off

If your calipers didn't come painted stock, just give them a good cleaning with the brake cleaner the kit comes with and maybe a light sand. It comes with a brush and little can of caliper paint, works very well and mine has held up awesome. I didn't sand my calipers to that extreme of a level and they look as good as factory caliper.

If you have paint on your calipers get that off. It's just going to chip, caliper paint or not. Paint it black, red is often really tacky and can take away from the rest of the car's visuals.

I used my dremel with a polishing bit. Mine wasn't painted previously though thats why i didn't use the brake fluid method. It just had a lot of brake dust buildup so i used a dremel to make it easy.

But since you have paint on yours, i would use brake fluid on it to eat away the paint and make it easier to remove
