Mobil isn't full synthetic anymore. I know it says it but the government allows them to put in a set amount of convential and still call it full synthetic. Until last year Mobil didn't put it in. Now they do. I have always used Mobil 1 full synthetic but I switched to RP 5/20

5/20's not too thin?

And that sucks about them not being true fully synthetic anymore... they just lost my business if it's true (and I'm assuming it is considering the source).

No 5/20 is what ford reccomends so thats what I use. Or 5/30 either way. I will try and hunt up that article about Mobil but yea its true.

yeah I read the same in an artical put out on them. But R/P is soooo much more than motorcraft 5/20 lol. Hell Ford makes it for there cars so how bad can it be? Plus you can go 5000 on royal purple I think. Does anyone go that long on it or not?

I have always run the Motorcraft 5w20 in my cars, Street and race. Never had any problems and just cant see spending the extra money.

Yep, except for Royal Purple, Red Line, and Amsoil. I think there is one more, but all your top name brands are not 100% syn. The big expensive ones (like I listed) are full syn. if they say full syn.

I think its just rp and amsoil that are the only ones left as a full synthetic. But i could be wrong.
