Need help with o/r H pipe
I am getting ready to install a MAC o/r h pipe in my 2004 Mach 1 and have a few questions. After searching for a while I figured it would be easier to ask here since I wasn't finding what I need.
First off I believe I'll need o2 sensor extensions. Is Autozone or the like the best place to look or do you need to go somewheres else? Also how long of an extension is usually needed? Should I use both the front and rear? Why do some of you eliminate the rear ones and what does the MIL do? What happens if I hook up front and rear o2 sensors? Thanks for all your help guys. just trying to go into this project with all the knowledge I need and all the right parts to get the job done. |

the O2 sensor extensions are for long tube headers, and they're only for the front sensors. if you have stock manifolds, you don't need them. if you're installing an o/r pipe, you'll need MIL eliminators for the rear O2 sensors unless you have a tuner. with a tuner, you can just turn them off. if you don't have them, you will get a CEL. i don't know if Autozone carries them, but there are plenty of vendors on this site that can help you out. hope this helps...

Seems like the only problem I'm running into is MIL eliminators. Anyone know where to get them?

Make your MIL Eliminators...
VERY simple. paladinmicro.com find the link on the left side that says DIY MIL Eliminators. make sure you unplug you battery, before you put the car on jacks. You need to have it unplugged for it to 'take' the MILs
