SRA back to IRS swap...spring issues..HELP!!!


I posted this in the SVTP forums as well. I need to know what to do to take care of this issueBEFORE I get going on the swap. The donor car is coming from CT!!!

use the springs he is giving you with the irs. You'll need them anyway.

if he isn't giving you the springs just do the math.
Is his cars ride height stock? if so how high is it compared yours dropped?

once you find the difference you can pick springs up that evens it out.

The problem is that the lower control arms on my car now have the adjustable spring perch???

I fail to see how this is make-or-break for doing the IRS swap? You'll use whatever springs are with the IRS to get it in there, then get a set of rear springs with the proper drop, or do a coil-over conversion and use the adjustable perches to get your stance right.

I'm not seeing the complication?

It's not about make-or-break...I just wanted to know what springs will give the ride height I have now so I can have him pick those up so we can put them in with everything out...to make it easier. And I wanted to make sure that I have all my ducks in a row before we get going on it.
