Paxton Novi 2000

Adding this (^) to my 01 Cobra; will this push me to 500 or even over? I know the blocks can handle about 550, but I want to hit that 500 mark.

You need the mods to go with it especially on the fuel side but the novi2000 is good for more then 700rwh with right setup

And rods and pistons. You will waste the motor if you try and boost your way to over 500 with the stock bottom end. Too high compression and the rods and pistons are to weak to go past 400-450.

I thought that cobra motor could handle at least 500 safely? Now yeah after 500 i could see you pushin' it with the engine holding up and stuff. I trust ya guys though...better safe than sorry

The internals are the same stuff as in the mustang gt save for the forged crank and the piston are higher compression ones but still weak. You don't wanna put very much boost on that cobra motor. First its too high of compression for very much boost at all. Second the rods will let go around 450 give or take.

I'd go no more than 10lbs. Anything higher and its a ticking time bomb with stock internals. Build the bottom end then boost the crap out of it. Novi's are a great blower.

DSS, MMR, Probe, Eagle, all have great stuff. I would reccomend a good set of forged H-beam rods, Forged 8.5:1-9:1 pistons and your crank is already forged so your good to go.

Any websites or good places to get them from? Or are all sites about the same price, etc?

I only trust Modular Performance (The Tymenski's) and Al Papito (Boss330racing). Those guys have built proven engines. Give them a call and they'll give you the right parts.

For a centri blower keep the compression a little higher like 9.2-9.5 or else it'll be a dog on the low end.
