that belt should fit and maybe a half inch smaller one with that setup. are you sure you have it on the alt. pulley all the way and all other pulleys.

yeah its a bitch to put on from the top. if you put it on all the other grooved pulleys then slide it over the idler in between the alt and crank, then slide it over the idler in between the new idler and the alternator it goes on much easier. having two people also helps.

i had it on all the pulleys all the way.checked that like 3 time...i put on the original belt (not sure if its factory) and it fits fine...it was about 1/2"-3/4" of an inch larger...my tensioner is almost all the way tight, only has about 1/8"-3/16" before its all way tight...if that makes any sense to anyone, i just hope it dont slip

You can also knock the stop tab off the tensioner to give yourself some more travel when you are trying to squeeze a tight belt on.

i had thought about cutting off part of the stop on the tensioner...the belt that i got with pulley is too small i think..with it off of one idler pulley the belt stretches only half way accross the pulley..there is no way in my eyes it will stretch over...i dunno

One healthy tap on that stop tab with a hammer and screw driver and it comes right off.
