Wheel Hop

iv'e been looking to reduce wheel hop on the track cuz i don't want to mess up my back end on my only daily driver car(99 cobra) i have 315 sumitomos and i still get plenty, which will make a bigger difference subframe bushings or control arm bushings or something else. also i plan on buying a 03/04 cobra supercharger and eventually a 2.1 KB will the rear end be able to handle that HP fine. eventually i want forged rods and pistons and get a higher boost pulley for KB.

if you plan on doing all that you might as well put in a Solid Rear ...

i saw that that i only have 28 splines and the 01 and up i think have 31 splines and are made to handle upto 750HP, but how much does 3 splines make on it. I'd hope mine would be able to handle 500HP. The only reason i don't want a solid axle is cuz i had a gt before this and theres a big difference on the road as far as suspension especially since i live on a rock road. maybe when they pave my road but that won't happen for a while.

another thing you could try is better tires. sumitomos seem to suck bad on traction. drag radials helped alot with my wheelhop.

and practice better throttle control when you launch at the track. slip the clutch and slowly get onto the gas. you have to be real sensitive and conservative on launch with these IRS setups. may be hard at first but it can be done.

and yes, replacing the bushings will help.

and go look on rpmoutlet.com. they sell "drag launch kits" for independent rear suspensions. and they're supposed to dramatically reduce or eliminate wheelhop. I know for sure they sell em for the 03/04 cobras but im not sure about the n/a cobras, I dont see why they wouldn't though.
