You shouldn't worry about it. I'm just saying you could spend that money elsewhere and get better results from your car. Subframe connectors, shifter, lower control arms, water pump, and an intake are all things that I can think of that are better for about the same amount of money.

My engine is stock, internals that is. Internals, heads, cams all stock. I have an intake, water pump, and UDPs but I wouldn't call those engine mods.

No on the coil packs. Spark plugs... I think I have Bosch iridiums but I've heard NGK iridiums are better. You really can't go wrong with the plugs.

you can do UDPs all you want but to me its not worth the risk for the like 5hp you might gain. yea some ppl may have been just fine and others have had their motors go down right after they put them on so its up to you i just wouldnt do it personally

Like spark plug wires?
![]() We have a COP (coil on plug) set-up. Spark plug wires are a thing of the past. Oh and 400 "cheap and easy": Nitrous.

I've never heard of an engine going because of UDP's, who, what where did this happen too. I'm ready to wave the flag at will.

I think the engine failure is blamed mostly on the oil pump giving up because of the UDP's. And in those cases it's still speculation from the people who it's happened to. They may have just done this mod when the oil pump went and that's the only thing they could think to blame it on, besides of their heavy right foot.

Go to mach 1 registry and see the huge thread (sticky) they have warning those against them. I have yet to find one car with enough evidence to point the finger at the steeda UDP's as a culprit. There have been cases where some of the units were out of round. That could definitely cause heavy vibration, but until then my educated guess is still aimed at those who push their vehicle RPM's above normal levels or levels that a steeda pulley can't dampen properly.

I run Steeda's and I don't believe half of the shit in the Mach 1 Registry. There is some wacky bs in there.
