what are the advantages of adding a maf.i.a ? hp wise

i am at 460 with a 2.80 upper and lethal ported blower maybe the stock maf is holding my numbers

Well my reply was just a broad one, and to be honest it was not a very smart one. You should really put it on the dyno and datalog it, or just datalog it on a safe street and check your MAF Counts or voltage depending on what hand held tuner you have. If you have a chip then have a tuner datalog it. Running around with a pegged MAF can be dangerous. Not trying to scare you, just don't want your engine to get terminated.

no such thing as too much maf.
 i have the sct2600 on my car. was told that my steg stage 4 would peg the stocker....
