Aluminum flywheel for 03/04 cobra??

has anyone used a hawks racing or F1 racing aluminum flywheel in their 03/04 cobra?? i had mine resurfaced and when i got it back i decided not to reuse it. they took too much off it when resurfacing it. an oem one from ford is 610$. im trying to do this on a budget. the F1 racing is 194 on ebay and the Hawks racing is 255 on ebay. those both seem pretty cheap compaired to other name brand flywheels, but i dont ever see anyone using them. if anyone knows of a discount place to get a spec or fidanza please let me know. any thoughts or suggestions on these would be great.

i went with a billet steel flywheel from centerforce to save money and i havent had any problems with it. its more rotating weight but i dont think it affects quarter mile ET's too much. i heard it might slow a car down by a 10th-second.

You are looking in the wrong place if itis $600 for a stock one. If you want a stock one or a FRPP one then call Steve a Tousley Ford. Cobra flywhell-$410 FRPP Flywheel-$253. Thats if you want to replace it with a stock one.

Ok no problem just make sure you got an Aluminum Flywheel and not Steel. Reason I say is a new Centerforce Aluminum Flywheel is in the $500 range!!! Way overpriced.

As far as clutch discs, and input shafts. I have them in stock. I have the Centerforce DFX and LM. The DFX holds more power and does not require break-in, only down side is it tends to chatter.

The LM is designed as a road race disc, but it has very smooth engagement, and holds good power. Unless of course you are going to the track on slicks, then the DFX is the way to go.

I have other brands of discs I can sell you. Just let me know.

Derek

No I do not see a problem as I have seen people do all sorts of mix matching. The only problem is if something fails, you can bet both companies will blame the counter part. That is why I like to run all the same brand to prevent any problems.
