A little work on my 03!!! Pictures lots o them

Earlier today i decided to change my transmission fluid along with the eaton oil change as my car recently passed 100k miles.

B&M fully synthetic ATF
Mobil 1 Synthetic 10w-30 motor oil for eaton
Motorcraft fuel filter

i failed at changing my fuel filter as some sort of tool is needed to remove the filter. anybody can help with what kind of tool i need, it will be a great help.

if you notice the passenger sidescoop missing it's cause a crazy female driver collided with me and is currently and ongoing process with my insurance.

old tranny fluid

stainless steel bassani

there's a 97 gt somewhere in some of these pictures as its currently awaiting for registration renewal, it is non operable.

hope you enjoyed my thread

You can get the tool from any parts store. I can't remeber which size. I got the 3 pack. Less than $5.

is it normal for a hood pad to look like that?

car was driven in the rain with the hood vents open, so i guess rain water found itself in there. i removed the hood pad, though.

thanks for the comments and replies guys.

It's possible, but most Cobra owners remove the pad.

hows she run after 100k

why do most cobra owners take the pad out, does it let heat escape better?

I took the pad out and painted the underside. It will let more heat escape and it lets the blower scream louder for those on the outside. I don't see where it will hurt the paint anymore than the heat that comes from headers. I've never seen it peal in that area. IMO, it should stay about the same. The insulator will keep heat off the hood, but holds it around the motor. Just the opposite with it off adding to the benifit of letting more heat out of the hood vents.

makes sense, good point......so with it out it will prlbly run a little better since there will be less heat soak

she's running great still, engine has been lubricantly changed on every 3 months or 3k miles, synthetic only. It still responds strong and rapidly when throttle is open. i bought the car with roughly 80k miles about a year ago and a couple of months.

i took the pad off cus it was looking horrific

by taking it off, i saw that the hood vents could be manually open. i beleive you can close them for rain season. i seen some hood vents on lethalperformance.com for around 170$ but will need to wait.
