2004 mach1


ok guys i just went to go look at a 04 mach 1 18,000 mile $14,000. but here's the thing it got to engine codes 1. P0060 and 2. P0174. and on the traction control button the light is lit but when you push the button it does not turn off. and last the abs light is on how can you check to see whats wrong with it? thanks

the best way is to go 2 advanced auto they can tell you what the codes meen just ask them to see there code booklet they have behind the counter i used 2 work there a while ago so i should know lol good times man haha

Is this car stock? What mods have been installed? Has the car been smashed? How many owners? IS there any over spray on the door jams, trunk jam, or core support? Does the engine make any funny sounds? Does it smoke during start up, or heavy acceleration?

Find out if the guy has a tuner, if so then you can check for codes, and correct the traction control issue.

it has an offroad h pipe. aftermarket mufflers. no paint over spray. ever thing else is fine

14k for an 04 with 18k may be to good of a deal, you get what you pay for remember theres a reason he has it low, it could cost you more in the end than finding one for more but in perfect condition, keep it in mind, im waiting till the perfect car comes along till i get one, not necessarily the best price

well the dealer just got the title. he got it at auction i think. it was repowed. and the trad in is $13555. the dealer sells the cars at whole sale.

Are you sure it is P0060? The other code is a running lean code due to the o/r pipe.

Have them fix the TC. And have them look at the heater resistance code. The running lean one you will have to take care of on your own with a tune, or buy a catted midpipe.

Catted midpipe is $450ish or you can go get a tune that will make the car run faster and get rid of the DTC for about $700 give or take. If you plan on modding the car at all fork over the cash for the tuner.

well i know a few people around me that do the test's. and wouldnt i be able to get the catted pipe and switch to the off road pipe after inspection?

The reason the TC is on is because it has a tune on it and they set the TC off, but someone forgot to turn off all the 02 functions. Get the actual handheld if you can because it is married to your car and you will not be able to flash over that tune. If you can get the tuner you can fix all that.

If the light is on then the TC is off. ABS light could be a couple a couple of things, including dirty sensors.
