what a bummer, took the car yesterday to get it dyno after replacing the ol' fuel filter and adding a catted high flow x, and the car only made 478hp 483tq and this is the same guy that dyno'd before with 488hp, i gotta find what the heck its my bottleneck, i would figure that with a ported steig, 2'80 upper and 2lb lower i would make more than that, wth gives, 10 hp less with a ported t/b and plenum and hi flow cats,

Every car is a different animal, your may just not as good of runner. His car may be a factory freak.

I will reiterate, don't worry about it bro, there are too many factors as to why your car will dyno differently from one day to another. Does it still run good? You can also lose peak hp given different mods but gain hp under the curve. I wouldn't be too concerned, 10whp is nothing all things considered.

Dynos = great tuning tools and car owners that worry too much about their numbers. As long as your a/f is good, your curve looks good, and the car runs good....fuck it.

Yeah dude, you should be able to hit 11's with ease with some sticky tires and decent driving. You don't already have a diff brace?

Dyno numbers mean nothing. As stated earlier they are a fantastic tuning tool, but don't worry about different readings from day to day or dyno to dyno. The way a car is strapped down can even change the readings. If you want to see what a mod is worth the only real way is a same day comparison keeping all variables as close as possible.

My car only made 486 last time out(no ice) and it runs 10.40's with weight reduction. It makes a tic over 500 with ice.
