bringin this old thread back, f'ng A dudes, took my car to get dyno yesterday and it made less f'ng power than last time [485hp/495tq] before, and now 468/475tq, wtf gives and even with 104 unleaded gas it made no difference whatsoever, the tuner f'd with the timing, trimmin fuel and whatnot and he couldn't squeeze any more out of it, both of us where scratchin our heads thinking wth went wrong, how the hell I lost power from the previous 93 tune, the only thing I did was put new street nittos 285/40/17 extremes in the back [old tires where some genetic 275/40/17's] I don't think the tires will make such a difference in hp, maybe if they were dr's but damn, what the heck you guys think could have gone wrong? same dyno, same tuner 2 weeks apart, 2 1/2 hrs of tweakin.

btw optimal power for these engines is an intake temp of 56 Degrees

anybody had the maf.I.a take a toll? IDK could be that the maf was pegging? and power wasn't increasing over 470? but the curve was similar went i made 485hp, he showd me the graph it was identical all the way to red line, except few horses down
