I believe that turbo cams are the same as blower cams for centri blowers. Positive displacement blowers have specific cams.

Lets make this more clear

I plan on swaping in a 03-04 cobra dohc s/c motor into my car soon. Reasons y are 1. 150k+ of abuse from previous owners. 2 same cost as forged 2v plus more power, 3 they sound amazing w fi. it will be s/c for a while but heads and cams will go on b4 i drop it in. the mods will be by no means be done. i want twin turbos at the end but it will be s/c fora while. will turbo cams hurt the s/c motors performance?

IDK, why go with compound boost? You have your Eaton with twins on top of that. What kind of power are you looking for?

A whole lot more than just an engine. It takes money mostly, and the faster you want to go the more it costs. You're talking about building a race car. You're going to need some serious brakes, suspension, and chassis work first.

Be aware that the UPR anti-roll bar kit MUST NOT be run on the street or it will be damaged. You need to un-hook the links and tie them out of the way for the street. Youre also gonna have to dump the exhaust in front o the rear axle with that kit as well. If you're looking for high 8's, what transmission do you plan on running?

Lentech makes a kit, but I don;t know if the 4R70W is strong enough, besides you're building a race car, why not go with a powerglide? They're stronger and more efficient.

Do you realize how much money you're looking at spending to get into the 8's? You're looking at about $20k

As far as you original question, no a turbo specific grind will not hurt an eaton powered car. As for S/C'd 8 sec cars they are all over the place, not on an eaton mind you, but you don't have to go turbo to get 8's. Also a built 4r70w will handle the power if its built by the right person but you will be better off with a built c-4 c-6, or a built AOD. I wouldn't do a power glide unless its a strip only car but FM1R is right it is about the best for a car that runs those times, especialy a turbo car. You said you where doing heads and cams before you dropped it in? What heads are you planning on putting on it?
