Maybe a dumb question

Ok are all the 4 valve bottom ends built to the same quality and standards as the 03-04 Cobra? I only need the bottom end but i can't see buying a cobra motor when i can build a stroker for the same thing. Thanks in advance for any help..

No the 03/04 cobra is the only one that is all forged. The manual mach's have a forged cobra crank in them and the n/a cobras have a forged crank but you are right you can get a just as good if not better bottom end for the same price as cobra stuff. The 03/04 cobra motor is also Iron where the mach's and n/a cobra's are aluminum so if you want a lighter setup then you can get an old (98-01) cobra motor or manual mach motor with a forged crank and put h-beams and forged pistons in it, thats one way. But if you already have an iron block and don't want aluminum then go with an aftermarket internal setup unless you can find a great deal on a termi motor.
