What Tranny Fluid?

There is a TSB out for to fill the tranny with 3L of Fluid which = 3.25 Quarts about. I believe it came out in 2006.

^ yes; just checked on all-data. Not sure about the year but 3L (~3.25qts) is correct.

ok yeah i just wanted to make sure you knew that. When i lowered my fluid to this amount my tranny problems went 90% away.

Filling a transmission untill it drains out the fill plug is a failsafe method, period.

I have 3.8 Quarts in my T3650 and haven't had an issue AT ALL... Just saying.

It's what I was told by the mechanic that rebuilt my 3rd gear. I trust him after knowing he's been working on Ford's for over 20 years and thrives off of word of mouth because he owns his own shop... Because of that, he'd want to do the best job possible to generate a good reputation, so I HIGHLY doubt he'd give false information.

I was just told today by my transmission teacher (who's a ford guy) to go with Mecron V.

the guy at Murrays auto parts said it was. but it doesnt say it is a synthetic on the bottle.
