My original factory brass/copper 2 core cooled my 470RWHP S/C'd mustang with A/C and I only replaced it because it was 20 years old and started leaking. You won't get any style points with an OEM looking radiator but they work fine.
I did get an aluminum one but only because I found this one for not much more than a 3 core stock replacement.
eBay Motors: All Aluminum 1980-93 MUSTANG Cobra, GT Radiator 138AA-6 (item 350131862069 end time Dec-06-08 14:45:08 PST)

I've had it for about 8 months now and no problems. It was a drop in replacement. The only thing I had to do was trim some rubber from the upper brackets because this rad is slightly wider at the top.

There are generic radiators that fit in our cars perfectly. I ran an upgraded 3 core stock replacement and never had any problems with it for years. Also, look into junk yard electric fans. You'll be surprised at how well they flow when compared to name brand aftermarket fans.

I bought a 3 row stock replacement radiator from a parts store a few years ago. It was $219 and was the cheapest I could find at the time. I later tossed it for a single row aluminum that cost me $250 and was alot lighter and looked nicer. I don't care for factory electric fans either. Most of them (like the Taurus and Mark VIII) draw so much amperage you need to bring your own power plant with you to run them. Not to mention most of the time they look hacked together when you put them on a car they don't belong on. To each their own I guess.
