I currantly have a 1998 mustang 3.8L v-6 and plan on dropping in a 5.0L motor that i am in the final stages of assembly. I was wondering if anybody has tried to do this swap before that has any information on what exactly needs to be changed. I know the obvious like motor mounts but i have heard that the engine crossmember might also need to be changed? Also i am building the motor from the block up and was wondering if there is somewhere i can get the complete ecu and wireing harness, sensors, and ignition components as a package so i know everything will work together. Any info on the subject is helpful ,, thanks

you need a 5.0 k memeber out of a 87-95 car with the 5.0 i think to do that swap i have a 88 harness and computer but theres no mass air on it

shouldnt he be able to buy a mass air from and 87 and up mustang and be able to use it ??? im not to sure they all have to be from the same year except the ecu. but besides that if you are completely rebuilding the motor anyways its gonna need a tune what are you running with?
