Thinking about a t-5 conversion?

My 93 lx has an AOD and I want a manual!...Is there a lot involved in the swap? Am I able to do it in my garage with some help no problem? What exactly would I need? I know the transmission pedals and clutch cable but not exactly sure what else? How much would I be able to pay for a fairly decent t-5 5 speed? and about how much would I be able to sell my AOD and components for? The car just got over 112,000 yesterday and the auto is in great condition and has a shift kit...SHIFTING IS FUNNN!!! =D

Here's a guide that I used when I swapped a T5 into my 83 Vert

Best to find a donor car if you can, buying the pieces individually will quickly add up.

Dang you're right down the street from me. 67th and happy valley.

I have a pedal set up. I was going to do the swap in my son's 86 but never got around to it. He came home from Afghanistan and sold the car so I have no use for it.

Anyway I don't recall what I paid but if someone can suggest a fair price maybe we can make a deal.

if everything is still in tact then id say about 40 bucks. I pulled mine at a junk yard and paid 10 but had to go through the bullshit twice. the pedal swap is the hardest part of the entire thing. getting them out and putting them in

Does anyone who has done a auto to manual trans swap have any information about how they made the reverse lights work again? Or is everyone driving around with no reverse lights like my car???

I believe the side switch is the reverse light switch on the T5, I spliced the wiring from the old Auto trans to work with it.

This may help
