351W heads vs gt40p heads?

i currently have 351W (dooe cast) heads. im wondering if the power gain would be worth the time and money of switch to gt40p heads?

GT40p head flow at .500 lift 185 intake 126 exhaust

DOOE head flow at .500 lift 181 intake 114 exhaust

you would probably never feel the difference , both are supposed to be between 58-60cc combustion chambers too ......

ive asked this before with no answer. I have a used early '80's 351w and some fresh windsor jr. heads with 1.7 roller rockers. is it worth swapping stock heads for these or should i just sell them?

P heads are probably the best factory Windsor head. Much better than the 351W heads. P heads flow better and have a better chamber design.

Peak numbers don't mean anything if the rest of the spectrum doesn't follow suit. P heads considerably outflow the 351 heads across the entire chart.

GT40P: 61/52 128/90 169/123 195/135 196/139 1.84/1.46 valves
69 351: 52/48 103/77 149/100 174/113 183/118 1.84/1.54 valves

Definitely put the Windsor Jr.s on....unless you want to sell them and get something better. Stock heads suck.

You won't know until you try. Some people say yes and some say no. I can't remember what shorties I've seen work and which ones haven't.
