Tire Size

hommie Newbie Join Date: Dec 2006 Posts: 3	Tire Size I just did a rear disc conversion on my 92 notch and I am wondering what is the widest tire I can run? I will be running the factory 10th anniversary Cobra wheels. Any info that anyone has would be great.

i run 315s on 15x8 rims, but on a 17x9 id say you could safely run a 275 tire, maybe a 295.

hommie Newbie Join Date: Dec 2006 Posts: 3	The car is going to be used for road racing and I want to get the widest tire that I can on there. However I don't want something that is going to cause problems. I am thinking that a 255 or 265 would be plenty wide.

On the front I think 245's ar as wide as you can go. Maybe 255's? __________________ Rotating The Earth 1320 Feet At A Time!! I have 245/40ZR-17's on the front of mine and they rub during low speed turns.

yeah when i used to have the cobra Rs on my car i had 245s in the front, and it was really hard for me to make sharp turns, even turning into my driveway i had to stop and back up a couple times.
