A tach ????????

Hey I was wondering about soemthing. I have a 5" Ford Racing tach. The tach works and the light comes on when I turn my ligths on but the shift light stays on all the time. Why is this??? I did not instal it. it was in the car when I got it!

Well, the previous owner didn't hook it up to the dash lights, He just hot wired it so the light stays on 24/7 when the car is running/accessory, just like mine

its fine trust me, its better like that =)

he said the shift light is on all the time.. maby the rpm for the light it set lower than your idle

+1 thats my only guess. try turning the rpm up some.
