FORD RACING GT-40X TURBO-SWIRL ALUMINUM

How good is this, would you guys say?

FORD RACING GT-40X TURBO-SWIRL ALUMINUM
Features 64cc Combustion Chambers. Machined 356-T6 Aluminum With1.94" Intake And 1.54" Exhaust Valves And Valve Springs 240 CFM Intake Flow Rate and 170 CFM Exhaust Flow Rate Sold Individually

ANd what cam will work good with that also?

I have an Trick Flow U/L intake.. and can't afford the heads from TFS.

the reset of my mods are
70MM TB
BBK CAI
24# injector (not install yet)
U/L Trickflow (not yet install)
Trick flow stage 1 cam (not install yet, would that work with these heads)
BBK Shorty headers, with o/h x pipe and flows
I want a really good cam, to work with those heads if they are good to used, all suggestion are welcome.
Thanks

PS: I know i should save up for the TFS, but what are my options on these.

how much $$$ did they cost? from what i read there the exact design as the iron GT-40, just in aluminum form. so not really that much better, just less weight.

I am getting both for $650, but I can beat him down to 600 flat... if i walk with cash lol...
but compare to the TFS, on the scale from 1 to 10 how good are they, i'm sure they're not better.

i think the GT-40's are a good head even though most people consider them "out-dated". but if u have the experiance, u could open up and polish the ports a bit and have a set of great heads. i wouldn't worry to much about the valves cause there decent sized if u plan on stickin with a stock "bore" 302... but thats just my opinion.

New or used? $650 is a hell of a deal new but I wouldn't give more than $450 used. You will need to mill those to get the chamber size down unless you are running a supercharger or turbo. If the heads are used I wouldn't put them on without a valve job and new springs.

If you go with the 185s you have to have your pistons notched. Still no biggie. I have a set of 165s and a custom cam from ed at FTI waiting to go in. Give him a shout he will send you in the right direction, http://www.flowtechinduction.com/
